Wanna Be In The New M. Ward Video?

vidflyer Still bummed out that one half of She & Him is now officially off the market? Well, we now have a chance to mourn together—in pink sequins and baby blue trousers!

A casting call is out for the new M. Ward video, being filmed tomorrow right here in our very own little indie rock town. While we still don’t know what song the video is for, we do know a few details:

1) The song is something off Ward’s Hold Time, set for release February 17 via Merge Records. Maybe it’s the track that Lucinda Williams sings on.

2) The shoot takes place TOMORROW, January 6 at 9 am @ Wonder Ballroom and Wednesday, January 7 at 3 pm @ the Aladdin Theater. The theme is “formal school dance,” and you are asked to wear your best prom style attire. Shiny things are good. So are big bows. Here’s the grainy announcement photo, with all the details for you to get your mug in a M. Ward video. Food and drinks will be provided:

We still haven’t heard the record, but the wait isn’t that agonizing. Starting next Monday until the album’s release date, NPR Music is offering an exclusive “first listen” and preview of the entire record. Beginning at 11:59 (ET) on January 12 you’ll be able to hear Hold Time (legally!) a full month before it’s released. If you are still using those crappy computer speakers, now is a good time for an upgrade.

And since we love pretty, big-ass photos (especially on Monday) here’s a hi-res image of Hold Time’s rad cover:
