Here’s Toussaint Perrault, a.k.a. Babydollars, doing “Oh Holy Night.” The track came my way via Ape Shape bandmate Ralf Youtz, who himself contributed “Ballistic Christmas” to the Another Grey Christmas 2 compilation (which is available now at wweek.com/store, or at Music Millennium, Tender Loving Empire or Jackpot Records). This is a big, sweet version of the standard that Toussaint tackles in straightforward fashion, showing off those very capable pipes, which carry the tune like a more sentimental Joe Strummer. God damn I miss Joe Strummer. I cried when I watched the documentary about him.

Alright, that’s all I got. In retrospect, this excellent track should have been the album’s 16th cut, but at least you can enjoy it here in all its glory. Thanks to Babydollars and Ralf for this one.
