The Metal Shakespeare Company Knock On Heaven’s Door
A few days ago we received a note from former Local Cutter and current Metal Shakespeare Company bard Jason Simms about a new project he was working on. You see, Lord Simms knows that we have a soft spot for karaoke here in the music cove, and we’ve seen him belt out a version of Guns N’ Roses cover of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” on a number of occasions. Now that the Olympics are over and Simms has a little free time on his hands, he and the band—who, for the uninitiated, are exactly what you’d expect from a group named “The Metal Shakespeare Company”—hit up the Kiknbaque Lounge to belt out renditions of “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” and Quiet Riot’s “Cum On Feel the Noise” to a boisterous, drunken reception. Kisses and singalongs! Anyone else down for another LocalCut karaoke night? Let’s make a date at the Spare Room.
