Well, the big week is finally upon us! It’s crazy to think that after all the basement parties, dance shows, day-glo ganster get-ups, and 50 cent name-drops, Portland’s favorite electro-pop trio Starfucker are finally releasing its debut self-titled record in one week. With a CD release two-fer set for Thursday at the Doug Fir (including an early 5 pm all-ages show), we’re pleased to announce the first LocalCut giveaway in far, far too long. The good folks over at Badman records have given us two super excellent STARFUCKER GIFT BAGS, filled with a whole slew of goodies* (a pair of tickets to Thursday’s show, one copy of Starfucker on CD, the pink Burnin’ Up 7 inch, a Starfucker t-shirt and a Badman t-shirt) and we’ll be given ‘em away to the top two entries as part of LOCALCUT’S GREAT STARFUCKER GIVEAWAY.

Whadda have to do to win? Well, in honor of their perma-jam “German Love,” we found it logical to combine two of our favorite things—Starfucker and German celebrities—and are giving you, dear readers, the creative freedom to express this holy union. Ideas: Photoshop a picture of the boys with your favorite/most awkward German (Casey already beat y’all to the Klaus Kinski punch); write an epic piece of fan fiction where Josh Hodges is courted by Marlene Dietrich on the Autobahn; put Computerization to shame by recording your own Starfucker theme song. You get the idea. The more German, the better.

Send us all your entries by NOON ON THURSDAY, SEPT. 18 and we’ll pick the two best ones and announce the winner right here on LocalCut. Just be warned that anything you send is liable to be posted and ridiculed to our liking, so be prepared to take some heat.
