Best New Band Issue. Tomorrow. Discuss.

3324Just so everyone knows, it’s that time of year. The top ten vote getters from our annual Best New Band poll (of local industry types, bookers, club owners, writers, etc.) will be featured as tomorrow’s WW cover story. This is the fifth Best New Band issue, and while there are a few clear front-runners from the last year in Portland music, the results have some surprises, upsets and ten really great winning artists (three of whom will play for free this Saturday at Berbati’s Pan). So place your bets, rumors and leaks here, ladies and gentlemen. We will comment on none of it for at least ten hours.

Yours,
Willamette Week’s music staff

P.S. This also explains the recent lack of LC content, I like to pretend.
P.P.S. Something’s wrong and I’m not able to comment. Please let me know (cjarman at wweek dot com) if the same happens to you. But Travis is wrong about the winners. Sorry, Travis.
