I never have a concrete Top Five with movies, but the Ethan Embry/Jennifer Love Hewitt vehicle Can’t Hardly Wait is always included. I love everything about it, from the strawberry poptarts to the Barry Manilow fixation to Jenna Elfman’s all-too-wise angel/stripper character whose crush on Scott Baio leads her to utter (amongst many other memorable quotes): “Fate only takes you so far, then it’s up to you to make it happen.”

Arohan’s track shares the same name as the high school romantic comedy but doesn’t have any memorable quotes. Why is that? Because the song has no lyrics! An exercise in minimalism, this electronic track eases by almost unnoticed when my iTunes stumbles upon it. Like the movie Can’t Hardly Wait will make you laugh, the tune “Can’t Hardly Wait” not only has the ability to take you to a relaxed state, but also bring you to life on the dancefloor.
