The Golden Bears, “Wall to Wall,” Unreleased

goldenbearThe Golden Bears got me at last Summer’s Halleluwah Festival. I stepped into a nearly empty room, totally spent from three solid days hunched in front of a computer, to find this most adorable band on stage. I scurried around asking strangers who it was and got back a couple of “I don’t knows” and finally someone pointed me to the schedule on the wall.

The Golden Bears? It’s the duo of Julianna Bright and Seth Lorinczi. She’s got a classic Tori affectation in her voice, and, on this song it’s backed with an odd and very cool mix of quick countrified guitar picking, spiky post-punk guitar, rock breakdown, and a slow chamber string anti-climax. These adorable Golden Bears are going places. Many of them.

Golden Bears on the web.

Photo: this is the same golden bear that’s been on this website three times now because I love it so much. I won’t be happy until I actually have the pictured golden bear to hug and squeeze.
